Srinagar youth arrested in Nagrota, arms and ammunition recovered | KNO

Jammu, July 30 (KNO): Security forces have arrested a youth and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession during a naka checking in the Nagrota area of Jammu district, officials said An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that acting on specific inputs, a police party from PS Nagrota laid a special naka at TCP Bypass Nagrota at around 9:20 pm. 
He said during checking a car, which was heading towards Srinagar from Jammu, was intercepted. "During the search of the vehicle, police recovered three pistols, three empty magazines, eight live cartridges, and two empty cartridges from the possession of the driver," the official said. He identified the accused as Azan Hameed Gazi son of Abdul Hamid Gazi of Qamarwari, Srinagar. "In this connection, an FIR under relevant sections of the Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota, and further investigation is going on," he said—(KNO)
